Online Symposium This Saturday

Exploring the twists and turns of pastoral ministry - competing agendas, too many ideas and not enough time, and creative ways to engage school and parish together in the coming year.

Join our panel members drawn from diverse experiences across four dioceses: Parish Priest, Principal, Parent, PPC, Youth & Family Minister. Bios available here

FREE (normally $40) for Alive in the Spirit Members but registration to symposium is essential to receive - this Thursday - instructions for how to view, a special planning workbook and recording of the experience.

On Thursday, those registered for the symposium (again, free for members), receive the option of joining a small group during the day.

Be present on the day for a special announcement in the afternoon!

Important: If you have already registered for this event, please do not register again. Thank you.

Your One Day Symposium - Engage with Live Ministry Panel

In this one-day symposium, you will journey with our special panel, through key ministry experiences in a fictional parish setting in 2022. You journey with our:

  • Fr David Catterall, Parish Priest (Wollongong Diocese)
  • Margaret Holles, School Principal (Sydney Archdiocese)
  • Emma Baker, Life, Marriage, Family Coordinator (Broken Bay Diocese)
  • Elizabeth Welsh, Parent in the School (Parramatta Diocese)
  • Ian Epondulan, Pastoral Council Representative and Young Person.(Parramatta Diocese)

You will explore three key moments in the life cycle of a parish/school relationship, with the panel guided by a facilitator drilling into:

Session 1: Let's Dream Big!
Engaging with the community – both present and disconnected
– in a new vision for 2022.

Session 2: Managing Change
Managing the tensions, roadblocks, and opportunities for healthy conflict and collaboration as the vision starts to come to life.

Session 3: Making it Happen
Determining how to align goals, resource actions, and keep people motivated, through safe and healthy processes.

After each panel session, you join a small group session to further develop ideas and approaches.

In our rapidly changing world, you are invited to consider new and innovative pathways. Fresh Heart! Fresh Hope! Offers inspiration through a practical scenario, for getting going in 2022 with the Holy Spirit and your community for the sake of Christ's mission!

Registration FREE for members - but you must register to gain ACCESS.
