NEW TEAM LEADER:
Sydney Centre for Evangelisation and Sydney Catholic Youth are excited to announce the appointment of Milad Khalil as the new SCY Team Leader!
Milad joins us from Sydney Catholic Schools where he has served as Education Officer for Church Engagement. Embracing the formation and evangelisation of youth as well as family evangelisation events and programs within Catholic schools, this role has seen Milad's leadership and sustained focus upon the development of discipleship among young people within our schools. It has included his pioneering work with the '10:10 Project' which has engaged hundreds of young people in contemporary issues of life and culture in its inaugural year.
Milad's experience of World Youth Day 2008 was a significant inspiration in his taking up Religious Education as a focus of his ministry as a teacher, and Milad has since served as both a Religious Education Coordinator and a Youth Ministry Coordinator.
In addition to this professional experience, Milad holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Arts (Theological Studies) from the University of Notre Dame, Sydney, and brings an appreciation of the role of theological formation in the discipleship of young people. His maturity and formal qualifications will bring great focus and a collaborative vision to the Archdiocesan strategy for youth and young adult discipleship and evangelisation.
Milad will commence at Sydney Catholic Youth on Monday, 1st November and he is looking forward to meeting and working with you. Please keep him in your prayers as he takes on this new role and leads the young people of Sydney.
