Tap Card

You may have noticed a new addition in the Church Entrance.

It’s a Donation Point Tap device and will enable us to quickly accept cashless donations. The device is aimed at enabling people to donate to our parish by using a debit or credit card.

This will enable parishioners and visitors to donate to the parish easily without cash – as many people nowadays don’t always carry cash.

The Donation Point Tap device processes a set donation of $10.00 and donors simply tap their Visa card or MasterCard to make a donation. It is fully secure and the screen will show if the card donation has been successful.

Your card must be held on the device to make a donation – it cannot read card details from your wallet or bag as you walk past and the device makes a loud beep sound when you hold your card on it.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the parish.

NAIDOC 2020

Always was. Always will be.

We know many schools, Parishes and organisations were unable to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sunday in July this year, so why not take the opportunity that NAIDOC provides to celebrate the contributions of Australia's First Peoples to the Catholic Church in Australia?

We have produced a resource booklet to assist in the planning of your celebrations this Sunday - https://www.natsicc.org.au/2020-atsi-sunday.html

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

The theme for 2020 is Always Was, Always Will Be. and it recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. We are spiritually and culturally connected to this country. This country was criss-crossed by generations of brilliant Nations.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia's first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists.

🙏 📖 Still time to order! | ADORE Advent & Christmas Reflection books

We are now shipping orders out within 24 hours of placement to ensure that you get your books well before Advent, so there's still time to place your order for our little Adore—Daily Advent and Christmas Reflections 2020 book. Get in quick though as we have less than 10% of stock left. Don't forget, we offer discount pricing for bulk orders as well as a GST free option for Australian Catholic Religious Groups.

In the day-to-day reality of our lives, especially during the busyness of end-of-year activities, it is easy for us to lose sight of what we are truly preparing for during Advent and celebrating at Christmas—the Incarnation. The magnitude of this event was not lost on the shepherds and the Magi who came to adore the Child who is truly Emmanuel: God-with-us.

Inspired by the shepherds, Magi and our Blessed Mother, this year's reflection book, Adore, provides a wonderful opportunity for us to take a quiet step out of our daily lives and refocus our attention on the Lord in adoration of what he has done for us through his Son.

Adore is an 88-page pocket-size book containing short spiritually rich, yet accessible, daily reflections from the beginning of Advent (29 November 2020) through to the Baptism of the Lord (10 January 2021).

Adore also features beautiful religious artworks from the Masters such as Ghirlandaio, Poussin, Champaigne, Botticelli, Le Brun, Fra Angelico and Rubens with enlightening "Artwork Spotlight" reflections written by the popular Monsignor Graham Schmitzer.
