"I remember a talk where Julian talked to us about working on our strengths and work at a time when the ideas start flowing even if it is late at night. This was the best piece of advice I was given and it came at a particularly good time because as a four year drama student, ideas come at many different times. I remember earlier this year I started writing ideas in the dark and I ended up receiving a more than decent amount of marks. His words still ring in my mind today." "I believe this convention changed me in many ways. The most important way it did change me however was giving me a new perspective on going to church. I am a teenager who was born a Catholic and was forced to go to church. Now, I want to go to church and have a relationship with God. Hearing the leaders give their talks and giving their experiences about their changed lives was the seed for my change and understanding my faith has become an easier thing to do. At the convention, I was in an environment where quite a few people were going through approximately the same thing as me. People who were almost in the same situation as me, questioning their faith, with a want to learn more about God and how to have a relationship with him." Adam, a parent whose child went to IMPACT |
