Being Merciful: Practical Steps in Today's World
How do we 'BE' merciful in our parishes and neighbourhoods? Feeding the hungry, sheltering the traveller, visiting the sick, to forgive, provide comfort and prayer. These workshops, led by Deacon Peter Presdee (1/9) and Mr Sean Donovan (3/9 & 8/9) will focus upon the Corporal & Spiritual Works of Mercy and how we can lead lives of practical mercy with all whom we meet. The Australian Catholic Bishops' Social Justice Statement for 2016–17 is titled 'A Place at the Table: Social justice in an ageing society'. It celebrates the value, dignity and significant contributions of older people to the life of the community.
