What's on in May? | Catholic Faith & Life Events Guide

Catholic Faith and Life Events Guide

What's on in May?

Welcome to another edition of our monthly E-News. We hope the Easter season continues to be one of joy and blessing for you and your families, friends and fellow parishioners.

This month will see us celebrate the great feast of Pentecost – the gifting of the Holy Spirit as our Advocate, Guide and Teacher.  As we move towards this celebration perhaps take some time to consider the gifts with which you have been blessed by the Spirit and how you are making use of those gifts and talents in your own life.

In the words of this beautiful canticle, Saint Francis of Assisi reminds us that our common home is like a sister with whom we share our life and a beautiful mother who opens her arms to embrace us. Come along to one of these opportunities to pray, reflect and be inspired by this powerful message of how we can bring about a deeper connection amongst ourselves and the natural world. These sessions will be lead by Fr Michael Dyer and Darren McDowell, introducing you to the spirituality which guides this vision and some practical ways in which it can be implemented. WEDNESDAY 18 MAY
1pm - 3pm
St Columbkille's Parish Meeting Room (99 Princes Hwy Corrimal)

Being welcomed, included and supported is a desire we all share when coming into or belonging to a community.  Luke's Gospel, through exploring hospitality and hope, takes us deep into how these realities can come about in our own life and community. In this discussion we will unpack these realities within the Gospel and explore their relevance for our lives today, especially in this Year of Mercy. Registration for this gathering is much appreciated and can be directed to Darren McDowell at darren.mcdowell@dow.org.au or 4222 2463 by Friday 13 May.
