EMBRACING ABILITY – WORKSHOP ON INCLUSION & HOSPITALITY

EXPLORING LAUDATO SI: THE ENCYCLICAL ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Saturday 18 July, 1pm-5pm St Paul's Parish MOSS VALE
Pope Francis has challenged 'every person living on this planet' to enter into a new dialogue toward building a better future in his encyclical letter Laudato Si' (www.popeecology.dow.org.au). Holding out the hope that "Humanity still has the ability to work together in building our common home". This workshop will explore some of the major themes in the encyclical and develop some practical responses which we can take at home, in our parishes and community. SERVING GOD'S PEOPLE – Skilling you for Ministry Involvement & Development

Currently involved in your parish community? Would you like to develop further practical skills for enhancing your involvement? Are you new to ministry and want to learn more? Interested in developing skills for working with others in ministry? Serving God's People provides an overview of Christian ministry, equipping those involved or seeking to be involved in ministry with essential skills and knowledge for actively contributing to the life of the parish or Diocese. The Eastern Macarthur group of parishes will be running this course during third term (July-September) and you are invited to participate. Come along to the information session to find out more on how to become part of this exciting opportunity. CERTIFICATE IN PASTORAL LITURGY – NOW OPEN FOR NEW ENROLMENTS
It is with great pleasure we seek expressions of interest for new enrolments in the Certificate in Pastoral Liturgy. Prospective students can enrol for Semester 2 unit "Word in the Liturgical Assembly" commencing in July 2015, continue with "Eucharist in the Liturgical Assembly" in Semester 1 2016, the either "Initiation in the Liturgical Assembly" or "Music in the Liturgical Assembly" in Semester 2 2016 and conclude the four unit series with "Building the Liturgical Assembly" in Semester 1 2017.
This course provides practical knowledge, skills and approaches, in liturgy for people who take active roles in preparing, coordinating and leading liturgy and liturgical music in parish and school. This course is modelled on the Certificate of Pastoral Liturgy previously offered through the Catholic Institute of Sydney. A flyer is attached with further information on course content and duration. The Diocese offers scholarships for study, as explained on the enrolment form. MINISTRY FORMATION COURSE – INTRODUCTION TO LITURGICAL MINISTRY

This is an introduction for all who participate in the Church's liturgy. It provides a foundation upon which to build an understanding of the various ministries that serve the Church at prayer.
