Cardinal Pell and 60 Minutes

The past week has seen a firestorm of commentary and reporting following a 60 Minutes report featuring a member of the Pope's advisory council on child sexual abuse and his criticisms of Cardinal Pell.

The debate has also been driven by the highly charged two week Royal Commission hearing in Ballarat which finished leaving more questions than answers.

Cardinal Pell issued two statements in response to the 60 Minutes story which were followed by a statement from Archbishop Hart and another by a number of Bishops and Archbishops in support of the Cardinal
