FAMILY MINISTRY SESSION - PARISH PLAYGROUPS & THE ATRIUM
Thursday 23 April 9.30–11.30am Xavier Centre, Wollongong
1) Playgroups serve to welcome families into our Parishes and provide opportunities for engagement and welcome to Christ's love.
2) The Atrium - Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Christian formation process for children aged 3 to 12 years, in which they experience and form an authentic, faithful relationship with God. The adult's task is to prepare the sacred space for the children, called 'the atrium'.

MINISTRY FORMATION COURSE – SERVING GOD'S PEOPLE

Currently involved as a participant or ministry leader and seeking to develop further practical skills for ministry? Are you new to ministry and want to learn more? Interested in developing skills for working with others in ministry? Then Serving God's People course is for you. Serving God's People provides an overview of Christian ministry, equipping those involved or seeking to be involved in ministry with essential skills and knowledge for actively contributing to the life of the parish or Diocese. WORKING WITH CHILDREN IN PARISH MINISTRIES

MINISTRY FORMATION COURSE – INTRODUCTION TO LITURGICAL MINISTRY
Option 1: Xavier Centre, Wollongong Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm, 29 April (session 1) and 6 May (session 2).
Option 2: Xavier Centre, Wollongong Saturday, 10am-1pm, 9 May (session 1 and 2 combined).
Option 3: St John the Evangelist, Campbelltown Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm 29 July (session 1) and 5 August (session 2).
Option 4: St Thomas More, Ruse Saturday, 10am-1pm, 1 August (session 1 and 2 combined).
This is an introduction for all who participate in the Church's liturgy. It provides a foundation upon which to build an understanding of the various ministries that serve the Church at prayer. Religion is in the headlines of our news, sometimes for all the wrong reasons. The media presentation and commentary may not represent the full truth about religion or the dialogue between religions. In this presentation we will explore what the Second Vatican Council had to say about interreligious dialogue and some of what has happened since then in this area between the Catholic Church and other religions. We will consider some implications of this for our Australian and local context. Facilitated by Rev Dr Anthony Gooley from BBI. Cost $10.

UNDERSTANDING & SUPPORTING THE JOURNEY OF AGEING
Monday 11 May 9am–3:30pm Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Meeting Room St Andrews Rd Varroville
Would you like to understand the journey into old age, learn how to maintain a holistic well-being during this journey, addressing the physical, social, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs; Wanting to pastorally support others as they advance into old age. We are all ageing, no matter how old we are currently. In this workshop we will explore the ageing process. On the journey we will gain an understanding of how we can maintain a healthy well-being as we age, whilst looking at the process of accepting and living with the limitations and challenges of ageing. Our journey encompasses a pastoral, holistic approach to ageing and awareness of the unique journey each person has as they age. Facilitated by Carmen Karauda, Diocesan Aged Care Advocate.
