Peace Prayer Rally

Inter Faith Peace Prayer Rally

The Arts Precinct

(Burelli Street) opp Council Building

Friday 19th Dec 2014

All Welcome

Gary and I will lead the Interfaith Peace Prayer tomorrow. Please get your families, friends and parishioners to come along.

Thank you for the great sign of interfaith unity at yesterday's Mass at the Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral. This was a great opportunity to show the wider community that we walk in solidarity under one God for the promotion of peace and unity in our local area.

Find attached the article in our parish bulletin which will appear this weekend.

The Peace Prayer tomorrow will be a simple affair; Gary and I will need some volunteers with loud voices to say some of the prayers of petition.

All: Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.

9.       Closing Comments – Mr Gary Ismail and Fr Ron Peters

May God be praised in our endeavours.

Fr Ron
