Answering Atheism with Dr Ed Feser

Answering Atheism:
Dr Edward Feser Ph.D live in the Diocese

The misunderstanding about the relationship of faith and science has seen increasing numbers of people "shelving" belief in God. Often it is claimed that "science is objective" whereas belief in God is "unscientific" and therefore irrational or, at least, has no rational foundation itself.

Professor and popular social commentator from the USA, Dr Edward Feser Ph.D will be visiting the Diocese of Wollongong this month to expose the fallacies of this world view including its inherent contradiction: "the claim that scientism is true is not a scientific claim!"

Areas of Need Survey - CatholicCare

Hi all,

CatholicCare Diocese of Wollongong's Family Support Program (FSP) provides a suite of information and skills training workshops covering many aspects of family and interpersonal relationships throughout the Wollongong, Shoalhaven, Macarthur and Southern Highlands regions.

CatholicCare Wollongong's annual Areas of Need survey is designed to determine the groups of people and/or physical regions that may benefit from extra and new information and skills training workshops.  The survey will take 5 minutes to complete.

The responses to this survey do lead to actual results. Last year's survey resulted in extra parenting programs being delivered in the Shellharbour and Ulladulla regions. The 2011 survey also lead to the creation of a new course, Sharing the Load, for children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence.

Please follow the link below to complete the survey, and forward to anyone you feel would also like to complete the survey.

Thank you kindly
