Gifted by a Generous God

A parish priest was inviting people to share their gifts in the parish. One parishioner said: "Father, I really have no gifts. I can't read or sing and I'm shy, so I don't like standing up in front of people." The priest asked, "What do you like to do, what gives you joy and energy?" The parishioner replied, "I love baking and feel great pleasure in cooking for others." The priest said, "We've just started working with a local homeless shelter. How about sharing your gifts with us in that way?" Read more
Hundreds of Students Join Mini Vinnies

The word is out! Hundreds of young students in Catholic Primary Schools are joining Mini Vinnies! Mini Vinnies is the name given to a group of primary school students who get together to help those in need within their school and the local community. Mini Vinnies introduces students to social justice issues, to the St Vincent de Paul Society and to living faith through action. Read more
