In asking the question, Why is Victorian parliament even considering Abortion as a viable answer to it's (women's) problems?
I think back over 20 years of debate, which has developed a culture of leaving God out of the picture.
One of the primary successes of the public debates since Vatican II is how God has become a figure of great suspicion. "In God we Don't trust", is clearly adage of the hoi-polloi of the noughties.
Do we even want to question such a culture?
When God himself becomes unreliable, the ground on which Christianity stands must fail.
Is this acceptable to you?
